Three teams currently have interest in Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Monday: the Kansas City Chiefs, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Commanders. Florio also reported that Thomas himself has interest in a fresh start. The report, published by NBC Sports on Monday, said the Steelers have greater interest in Colts receiver Josh Downs, and that Downs is Kansas City's fallback if it cannot land Thomas.

The reporting on Jacksonville's side of the table points in two directions, and both are attributed. Florio reported the Jaguars have no real incentive to move Thomas unless they get a big offer. The Athletic's Jonathan Jones, reported over the weekend, said the Jaguars remain firm with teams that they will not deal Thomas — though one rival executive told Jones the opposite. ESPN's Adam Schefter said, in a report carried Sunday, that it seems like the Jaguars are warming to the idea of trading a player they never wanted to trade before. None of those characterizations is a statement by the Jaguars.

Thomas caught one pass for 12 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 42-7 win over Indianapolis, and his season line stands at 10 catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns, after 1,282 receiving yards as a rookie and 707 last season, according to the Pro Football Talk report. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 10, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Jacksonville plays at Baltimore on Thursday night before the deadline arrives.
