John Washington III Tells Voters to Follow Politicians' Actions, Not Their Words
John Washington III asked why people keep following politicians whose actions tell a different story from their promises, and why some politicians become millionaires while holding public office on a $174,000 salary.

John Washington III is asking voters to judge politicians by what they do, not what they say. "Why do people keep following politicians who don't give a damn about them?" the 2028 presidential candidate wrote, asking why voters continue supporting politicians who talk like they love the people while their actions tell a completely different story.
"They tell you what you want to hear," John Washington III wrote. "They promise you change. They claim they're fighting for your family." But when it is time to make decisions that affect people's lives, he asked, where is that same energy — and why do some politicians campaign on one thing and then vote for something completely different? "Stop listening to what they say and start paying attention to what they do," he wrote, urging voters to check voting records instead of defending politicians without looking at them.
John Washington III also questioned how some politicians become millionaires in office. Most members of Congress receive an annual salary of $174,000, he noted, and asked where the additional money comes from — investments, businesses, inheritance, or financial relationships the public does not know about. Having millions does not automatically mean a crime was committed, he wrote, but public officials should never be above financial scrutiny, and the public should examine the financial disclosure records members of Congress already file. Any politician secretly accepting illegal payments in exchange for political favors should be investigated and, if the evidence proves corruption, held accountable, he wrote.
