John Washington III Asks How Politicians Can Claim to Fight for the People on Property Taxes
John Washington III asked where the fight is when politicians claim to work for the people, pressing on police accountability and on why property taxes on a family's own home are talked about as lower, never ended.

John Washington III is asking how politicians can claim to work for the people when, in his words, they never fight for the people. The 2028 presidential candidate said every election season brings the same promises to work, fight and represent, and asked where that fight is when it counts.
"When police officers abuse their authority or engage in corruption, where are these politicians who claim to represent the people?" John Washington III wrote. "Why aren't you fighting to hold corrupt police officers accountable? Why aren't you standing up for the citizens who put you in office?"
He pressed the same question on property taxes. "Why do politicians always talk about lowering property taxes but never seriously discuss ending property taxes on the homes people own and live in?" John Washington III wrote. He asked why a family should spend 20 or 30 years paying off a home only to keep paying property taxes on it for the rest of their lives, how candidates can campaign on lowering taxes and then vote for increases, and why voters are not made fully aware of decisions that could raise their bills. "Where is the transparency? Where is the accountability? Where is the representation?" he wrote.
