Will the Jaguars Trade Brian Thomas Jr.? Halloween Promo Omission Fuels the Talk Ahead of Sunday
The Jaguars' Halloween social graphic featured nearly the whole offensive depth chart of receivers, backs and tight ends — but not Brian Thomas Jr., and the omission landed in the middle of a week of trade-deadline reporting.

The trade talk around Brian Thomas Jr. picked up a new detail on Saturday, and it came from the Jaguars' own social media. In a Halloween post playing on the 2025 horror movie "Weapons," the team featured its offensive weapons ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts — Travis Hunter, Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, Brenton Strange, Bhayshul Tuten, LeQuint Allen Jr. and Nate Boerkircher among them — and Thomas, the No. 23 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was not in the graphic, the New York Post reported Saturday. Sunday's game is the Jaguars' first at EverBank Stadium in over a month, after the trip to London and the bye week.
The omission drew attention because of the reporting that preceded it. On October 25, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that Thomas's struggles this season have caused belief within the league that Jacksonville will move him by the deadline, and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported last week that multiple league executives believe the Jaguars will seriously consider trading Thomas now that his role has decreased. The NFL trade deadline is November 10.
The team's position, as reported earlier Saturday by this station, has not changed in the public reporting: The Athletic's Jonathan Jones has reported that the Jaguars keep telling teams Thomas is not available, while a rival executive told Jones he does not believe them. Nothing about a social graphic changes what the front office does before November 10 — but in a week when every signal is being read, Jacksonville's Halloween post was read as one.
