Jacksonville Icemen Host Atlanta Gladiators in a 3 p.m. Halloween Game at VyStar Arena
The Icemen come home off their first win of the season, a 3-2 overtime victory at Orlando, for a Halloween afternoon game against Atlanta at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
Jacksonville's Halloween sports day includes hockey downtown. The Jacksonville Icemen host the Atlanta Gladiators on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, in the Icemen's Halloween game, according to the team's official schedule.
The Icemen arrive home with their first win of the season. Jacksonville (1-2-2) rallied to beat the Orlando Solar Bears 3-2 in overtime on Friday at the Kia Center, the team's first victory and first overtime win of the year, the Icemen reported. Saturday's game opens a three-game homestand stretch that continues with Savannah on Nov. 3 and the Florida Everblades on Nov. 6.
The roster has moved around the home opener. The Icemen acquired forward Jesse Tucker from the Indy Fuel in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Oct. 29, and defenseman Reilly Webb was recalled by the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild on Friday. Jacksonville is the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and the AHL's Iowa Wild. A game-night file will follow Saturday's final.
