Colts vs Jaguars Game Today: Division-Leading Jacksonville Hosts Indianapolis at 1 P.M. (Jacksonville Watch News)

Game day is back at EverBank Stadium. The Jacksonville Jaguars, 4-2 and leading the AFC South after their bye week and two games in London, host the Indianapolis Colts at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday on CBS, according to the DraftKings Network preview read by the desk this morning. Indianapolis arrives at 2-5, on the road in a season its own preview coverage describes as a fire sale, with trade talks swirling around much of the roster.

The matchup starts with Jacksonville's defense against Jonathan Taylor. The Jaguars are allowing 17.3 points per game, third fewest in the NFL, and lead the league conversation against the run at 72.17 rushing yards allowed per game, the preview reported. Taylor is Indianapolis's clearest weapon, with 587 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Colts quarterback Daniel Jones has completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 1,398 yards with four touchdowns and seven interceptions, and wide receiver Josh Downs, who leads the team with 307 receiving yards, has requested a trade; tight end Tyler Warren is set to play after missing time with an injury.

Jacksonville's offense averages 25.7 points per game. Trevor Lawrence has thrown for 1,480 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions, Parker Washington has become his leading receiver with 26 catches for 416 yards and four scores, and running back Bhayshul Tuten has run for 388 yards and two touchdowns on 94 carries while catching two more. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, with 285 yards and two scores, was listed questionable with hamstring and ankle issues in the preview — the same status this station's final injury report carried on Saturday.

The betting market in the preview made Jacksonville a 10-point home favorite, a reflection of the distance between a rested division leader and a visitor trading away core players. The football question is narrower: whether the Jaguars' run defense holds Taylor in check early enough for Lawrence to play from in front. Kickoff is 1 p.m.; the stadium-operations picture for fans is in this station's Saturday file on the EverBank renovation.
