Duval County's 13 days of early voting closed at 5 p.m. Sunday with more than 230,000 votes cast, Action News Jax reported Sunday night. What is left is Election Day itself: polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at each voter's assigned precinct, and a mail ballot must be in the Supervisor of Elections' hands by 7 p.m. to count.

The early part of Duval County's 2026 general election is finished, and the number is the story. Early voting in Duval County ended Sunday with over 230,000 votes cast before Tuesday's Election Day, Action News Jax reported in its Sunday night file (8:49 p.m. Eastern), opened and read by the desk this run. The county's early voting ran from Tuesday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, Nov. 1 at 24 sites where any Duval voter could vote at any location, closing with the final weekend's 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours, per the Supervisor of Elections' published schedule read this run.
The county figure sits inside a statewide close the desk has already filed: more than 5.2 million Floridians voted before Election Day (SQ-20261101-070), and the running civicAPI compilation of state and county files read this run put Florida's returned ballots at 5,401,055 through Nov. 1, with Duval's ballots through Oct. 31 alone at 214,413 - 111 percent of the county's whole 2022 early vote, before Sunday's final day was counted in.
What changes now is the rule, and Duval voters should hear it plainly: there is no any-site voting on Tuesday. On Election Day, Nov. 3, every Duval voter votes at their assigned precinct, polls run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern, and a picture and signature ID is required, per the Supervisor of Elections' deadlines page read this run. One precinct's room has changed - Precinct 508 now votes at Wayman Temple AME Church South Campus, 8855 Sanchez Road (the desk's alert is SQ-20261101-074) - and every voter can confirm their precinct at duvalelections.gov through the Polling Location Finder.
A mail ballot is governed by the same 7 p.m. line: the deadline for the Supervisor of Elections to receive a voted vote-by-mail ballot is Election Day, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. Eastern, the elections office states. The desk's full Duval Election Day guide is SQ-20261101-063; this file exists to close the early-voting book with the county's own final figure - over 230,000 neighbors have already voted, and Tuesday belongs to everyone else.
