Early Voting Ends Today in St. Johns and Clay Counties; Duval Votes Through Sunday
Saturday is the last early-voting day in St. Johns and Clay counties ahead of Tuesday's general election, while Duval County sites stay open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The early-voting window closes county by county across the First Coast this weekend. Saturday, Oct. 31, is the final day of early voting in St. Johns County, where sites have run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily since Oct. 21, and in Clay County, where all seven early-vote locations are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, according to the two counties' supervisors of elections.
Duval County voters get one more day. Early voting in Duval runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, with sites open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, and Duval voters may cast a ballot at any of the county's early-voting sites. After Sunday, the next chance to vote is Election Day itself, Tuesday, Nov. 3, at assigned precincts.
The staggered close is the last service milestone of a final weekend that has already set a national midterm early-turnout record, with more than 49 million ballots cast nationwide as reported earlier this week. Northeast Florida election officials remind voters to bring photo identification that includes a signature, and to check their county supervisor of elections site for site lists and wait times before heading out.
