Florida's early vote is approaching five million ballots. A running tally compiled from Florida Division of Elections data put the number of ballots returned statewide at 4,956,134 through Saturday, October 31 — up 229,641 on the day — with the state's own file running through October 30 and a newer compiled count carrying the total through Saturday. By party registration, the tally showed 2,016,179 Republican ballots and 1,873,536 Democratic ballots returned through Saturday.

Duval County's share of that total stood at 195,613 ballots through October 30 in the same compilation, among the largest county totals in the state. Duval is one of the few Northeast Florida counties still voting early on Sunday: early voting in St. Johns County ended Saturday, October 31, with sites open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on its final day, according to the Florida Times-Union's county-by-county guide.

For Duval voters, the official schedule from the Duval County Supervisor of Elections is unchanged: early voting runs through Sunday, November 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both weekend days, at any of the county's 24 early voting sites — any registered Duval voter may use any site, with picture and signature ID required. After Sunday, the next chance to vote is Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, at each voter's assigned precinct.
