Jaguars Wear 'Bold City' Rivalries Uniforms for the First Time Sunday, With 10 Jacksonville Neighborhoods Hidden in the Spots
The Jaguars debut their Nike 'Rivalries' alternates against Indianapolis at EverBank Stadium on Sunday — a glossy teal helmet, a Southern-rock script, and a spotted pattern on the pants that hides the names of 10 Jacksonville neighborhoods.

The Jaguars will look different at EverBank Stadium on Sunday. Jacksonville wears its 'Bold City' alternate uniforms for the first time against the Indianapolis Colts, the team's installment in Nike's 'Rivalries' program, USA TODAY reported Sunday morning.
Start with the helmet: glossy teal — the first time the Jaguars have been crowned in teal — with a golden facemask, Duval County's 904 area code on the front bumper and 'Duuuval' on the back bumper. On the white jerseys, 'Jaguars' is written in script above numbers in a font the team says is heavily inspired by Jacksonville's historic music venues and Southern rock influence; the mostly black digits carry a subtle black-jaguar spotting pattern, trimmed in gold with teal shadowing. 'Bold City' is stitched inside the collar and 'Since '95' — a nod to the franchise's first season — on the outside.
The spotting pattern comes alive on the dark pants, inspired by the black-on-black spots sometimes found on the jaguar itself. Hidden within the spots are the names of 10 Jacksonville neighborhoods and communities — among them Dames Point, the Westside and San Marco — honoring the fans who live there, with a teal stripe bordered in gold completing the look.
Nike's Rivalries uniforms are the football version of its NBA City Edition and MLB City Connect lines, worn in intra-divisional matchups to strengthen teams' bonds to their cities. This year the AFC South and NFC North joined the program; every team with a Rivalries uniform is scheduled to wear it once this season, and Jacksonville's turn is Sunday's 1 p.m. divisional game against the Colts.
