The River City Rumble's soccer edition went to Jacksonville University on Saturday. The Dolphins beat North Florida 2-0 at Southern Oak Stadium, according to the University of North Florida's official game recap — both goals coming after a scoreless first half.
Jacksonville broke through in the 48th minute and doubled the lead on a penalty kick in the 66th, the recap said. UNF's account did not name Jacksonville's scorers, and this story does not guess at them; the Dolphins' two second-half strikes were the whole of the scoring.
For UNF, the loss closes the regular season at 9-5-4 overall and 6-3-1 in ASUN play. The Ospreys take the No. 2 seed into the conference tournament and will host an ASUN semifinal on November 8, according to the university.
